These terms explain the rules that apply when you create an account or use Wool’s website and desktop application.

Last updated July 28, 2026

Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using Wool, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Wool for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and at least 13 years old. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity under your account. Tell us promptly through the support channel in the application if you believe your account has been compromised.

The Wool service

Wool provides voice transcription, text cleanup, formatting, and related writing tools. Features may change as the product develops. Generated text can contain mistakes, so you are responsible for reviewing it before sending, publishing, or relying on it.

Wool is not a medical, legal, financial, or other professional adviser. The service should not be used as the sole basis for decisions where an error could cause harm.

Plans and payments

The Free plan includes the usage allowance shown at signup. Paid plans, prices, renewal periods, taxes, and cancellation terms will be presented before purchase. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Any refund rights required by applicable law remain unaffected.

Acceptable use

You may not use Wool to:

  • Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or create or distribute unlawful content.
  • Access accounts or systems without permission, distribute malware, or interfere with the service.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions.
  • Reverse engineer or extract non-public source code except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Use automated means to overload, scrape, or resell the service without written permission.
  • Misrepresent machine-generated or edited material when disclosure is required by law or professional rules.

Your content

You retain ownership of the words, snippets, dictionary entries, and other content you provide. You give Wool a limited permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide the content and use the resulting text.

Our software and brand

Wool and its licensors own the service, software, design, trademarks, and related intellectual property. Subject to these terms, Wool grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Wool at any time. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Disclaimers

Wool is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect transcription, or that generated text will be accurate or suitable for every purpose. Statutory warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain in effect.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Wool will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Wool changes. Material changes will be communicated through the service or on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. Questions may be sent through the support channel provided in the application.
